Château Giscours

Château Giscours brings muscle to Margaux. From deep gravel mounds at Labarde in the appellation's south, this Third Growth makes one of the region's most structured wines — dark fruit and firm tannic drive beneath the violet perfume, a combination that ages with real authority. One of Margaux's largest properties, with parkland and polo grounds lending it the air of a country estate, Giscours has climbed steadily in quality over the past two decades, its recent vintages ranking with the appellation's best outside the First Growth itself.
