Château Moulin Saint-Georges

Château Moulin Saint-Georges is the connoisseur's route into one of Bordeaux's greatest cellars. Owned by the Vauthier family of Château Ausone and farmed with the same exacting care, its vines face Ausone's famous slopes from just across the road below the town of St-Émilion. Merlot-led with Cabernet Franc, the wine shows a clear family resemblance — limestone freshness, dark cherry depth, polish without weight — at a fraction of its sibling's price, which is why insiders quietly call it the baby Ausone. Production is small, and in strong vintages it disappears quickly.
