The estate
The Domaine du Comte Armand is, at heart, one vineyard: the Clos des Épeneaux, a 3.9-hectare walled monopole in Pommard assembled by the Armand family in the years after the Revolution and never divided since. From its deep clay and iron-rich soils comes one of Burgundy's most structured Pinot Noirs — dark, mineral, and slow to unwind, demanding the decade it invariably repays. A string of gifted stewards, from Pascal Marchand to Benjamin Leroux and now Paul Zinetti, have farmed it organically and let the clos speak with remarkable consistency.
