Elvio Cogno sits alone on the hilltop of Bricco Ravera above Novello, surrounded by the cru that made its name. Under Valter Fissore and Nadia Cogno, daughter of the founder, the estate has turned Ravera — long overlooked, now among Barolo's most coveted vineyards — into a portfolio of remarkable depth: the estate Ravera, the powerful Bricco Pernice, and the rare Vigna Elena Riserva, made from the perfumed Nebbiolo Rosé clone. The style favors lift and floral transparency over sheer mass. The family also rescued Nascetta, Novello's native white grape, from near-oblivion with its Anas-Cëtta bottling.
