Dow's, Vintage Port 2007

The is a phenomenal young port that showcases flowers, stones, black olives and dried mushrooms on the nose. The polished and finesse are second to none. Full yet so refined and dense with a compact and gorgeous mouthfeel. Goes on for minutes. Hard not to drink now, but this will seemingly live forever.

Deep black-ruby color. Knockout nose offers distinctly wine-like aromas of redcurrant, cedar, licorice and molasses, with a medicinal reserve and a roasted nuance. Classically drier in the Dow style, with superb precision and elegance to the very intense flavors of black fruits, licorice, cedar and minerals. Wonderfully balanced, vinous and seamless young vintage port. Really reverberates on the finish, which boasts superb grip and palate-staining chocolatey persistence. Will be a long-distance runner.
