Domaine Les Monts Fournois Montagne Verzenay Grand Cru 2013

The 2013 Montagne - Verzenay Grand Cru is superb. It’s the most convincing and complete Champagne in this range. Kirsch, citrus confit, white flowers and brisk saline notes race across the palate. Power, breadth and mineral-drenched intensity come through loud and clear. The blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay works so well here. What a total delight. The Verzenay is on a different level from most of the wines I have tasted from this micro-négociant range. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: June 2025.
