Château Canon

Château Canon is limestone made liquid. Its walled vineyard, the Clos Canon, sits on the plateau at St-Émilion's edge, where shallow clay over pure chalk gives Merlot and Cabernet Franc a freshness and inner light that no amount of winemaking can fake. Under Chanel's ownership since 1996 — and, like its sister Rauzan-Ségla, directed by Nicolas Audebert — Canon has become one of the most admired wines of the Right Bank, vintage after vintage marrying silken texture with cool, chalky precision. Croix Canon, the second wine, carries the same signature freshness to the table years earlier.
