The estate

One of only six properties classified for both red and white wines in the 1959 Graves classification, Château Malartic-Lagravière sits on a superb gravel rise in Pessac-Léognan. The Bonnie family, owners since 1997, rebuilt the cellars around gravity and precision and pushed the farming steadily toward certified environmental standards. The red is classic Léognan — graphite, dark cherry, and cedar over a firm mineral chassis — while the barrel-fermented Sauvignon-Sémillon white ranks among the appellation's most consistent.
