Domaine De Chevalier

Domaine de Chevalier lies in a clearing of the pine forest south of Léognan, a cool, quiet amphitheatre that yields one of the rare estates classified for both its red and its white. Under the Bernard family since 1983, with Olivier Bernard its long-time steward, the red offers Pessac-Léognan's signature smoke and dark fruit with unusual finesse, while the white — a small production of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon raised with meticulous care — stands among the greatest dry whites of Bordeaux, capable of evolving for decades. L'Esprit de Chevalier is the second label in both colors.
