Domaine Dujac, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru 2010

The 2010 Bonnes-Mares boasts gorgeous energy and precision in its aromatics. Sweet red cherries, flowers, mint and spices are some of the nuances that flow from this elegant, refined Bonnes-Mares. The theme of finesse is woven throughout this sleek, engaging beauty, while some of the wilder notes that are at times present in the wine seem tamed, at least today. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040.

Bright, full red. Reduced aromas of raspberry and minerals. Intense red fruit flavors complicated by saline soil tones and inner-mouth floral character. Wonderfully sappy, clear and long on the suave back end. This bottling has become more floral and feminine in recent years with the addition of the new piece of Bonnes-Mares on white soil that came to Dujac with the purchase of the Thomas-Moillard holdings. Dujac's top 2010 grand crus should be very long-lived.
