Château Brane-Cantenac

Château Brane-Cantenac holds one of Margaux's finest positions: the deep, warm gravels of the Brane plateau, prized since the estate's nineteenth-century heyday, when it earned Second Growth rank in the 1855 classification. It has been Lurton property for generations — today under Henri Lurton — and the wine is Margaux of the classical school: Cabernet-led, aromatic and fine-boned, gaining flesh and perfume with a decade in the cellar. The second wine, Baron de Brane, carries the same signature in a suppler form.
